Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (LGPD) drew heavily on Europe’s GDPR, and in January 2026 that alignment became official. Brazil’s cybersecurity policy has matured quickly. In August 2025, Decree 12,573<\/a> established a new national cybersecurity strategy, E-Ciber. It\u2019s built around four themes<\/a>: citizen protection, critical infrastructure resilience, public-private cooperation and national sovereignty.<\/p>\n
