Elea Data Centres President: Rio AI City is the project of a lifetime
The 3.2GW project isn't just about bringing computing capacity, it's about bringing human brain capacity to Rio.

Brazilian headquartered Elea Data Centers today confirmed it is the developer behind the giant Rio AI City project.
Announced at WebSummit by Rio De Janeiro Mayor Eduardo Paes in late April, the mysterious project was touted as potentially being one of the largest in the LATAM region.
Today, this was confirmed by Elea when it said it would include up to 3.2GW of renewable energy capacity when fully developed.
Centred around the Olympic Park region of Rio de Janeiro, Rio AI City will see Elea’s existing 15MW RJO1 data centre expand into a campus of larger facilities and so much more.
