Elea Data Centers receives Frost & Sullivan’s “Transformational Innovation Leadership” recognition

The recognition places the company among the world’s most innovative players and reinforces its role in the evolution of Brazil’s digital infrastructure

Elea Data Centers, the leading Brazilian sustainable platform and the first to deploy artificial intelligence at scale in Latin America, has received the 2025 Frost & Sullivan Transformational Innovation Leadership Recognition, the consultancy’s top global honor for companies that lead innovation and reshape their industries. The title positions Elea among the most innovative organizations assessed worldwide, highlighting its ability to advance simultaneously in compute density, sustainability, territorial expansion, and operational resilience.

The recognition is the result of a 12-month evaluation process conducted by Frost & Sullivan, involving sector analysis, global benchmarking, and technical review by analysts and specialists. The methodology centers on two pillars: the ability to transform markets through consistent innovation and the real impact delivered to customers throughout the solutions’ operational lifecycle. Only a small fraction of companies assessed globally meet the required criteria.

The report notes that Elea has established itself as a driving force in transforming the Brazilian market by combining geographic expansion, high compute density, renewable energy, and large-scale AI-ready projects. Key initiatives supporting the recognition include:

– Rio AI City, a dedicated AI-compute complex with a projected capacity of up to 3.2 GW and 100% renewable-energy operations.

– Petrobras’ 30 MVA data center, the largest IT infrastructure project ever contracted by a Latin American company, featuring advanced liquid cooling and supercomputing support.

– A nationally distributed platform with presence in five states — including Brasília, where it operates the region’s only commercial Tier III colocation facility — direct interconnection to the global subsea cable network and an architecture designed for low latency.

– Proven operational resilience, as demonstrated during the 2024 floods in Rio Grande do Sul, when the POA1 data center was the only one that remained fully operational.

– Commitment to renewable energy and efficiency, advanced WUE targets, materials recycling, and more than US$ 280 million in sustainable debentures issued since 2024.

– An active M&A strategy involving the integration and modernization of assets from major market players, increasing capacity and density across Brazil’s main digital hubs.

The recognition comes at a time of profound transformation in global digital infrastructure. The sector is simultaneously facing the acceleration of AI workloads, the need to operate at high density, rising energy costs, and pressure for efficiency and sustainability. According to Frost & Sullivan, this environment further underscores the relevance of Elea’s role as the company advances solutions designed to support disruptive technologies with security, scale, and renewable energy.
